Not recommended. The physical look and function of the microwave is perfect, as expected and wanted. However, immediately it made a funny noise, and still does. I'm not sure how long it will last. I would return it but we did not keep the box so if it goes that's $300 bucks down the drain in a matter of a couple months.

Dial control was perfect for my need. Excellent microwave. Purchased for elderly parent who needed simple controls. Dial works great. Easy to use.

Loud, unbalanced, and cheap feeling. Don't shoot the messanger please. I'm only trying to help you ?when it cooks it sounds about as loud as most oven fans. Yes, that loud. And the bell is even louder, not to mention very annoying.
The 1 dial felt very cheap, and mine came with scratches on the top with a foot peg missing which ofcourse made it unbalanced. Very disappointed.

Conclusion of General GEW 1000D Microwave Dial control
The microwave is like the ones used in cafeterias. Before this microwave i had two ge microwaves that lasted two years each. An electrician told me that microwaves with dials last longer than digital microwaves. The microwave is sturdy but not too heavy to move to clean underneath. Pro grade nuker, that maintains flavor and moisture of food, unlike consumer grade that tends to dry and leave food bland.
She has problems viewing the numbers on the conventional microwave keypad. She has gained independence with the ability to warm food using the lighted dial. Excellent microwave. The physical look and function of the microwave is perfect, as expected and wanted. Overall though its better than most microwaves with their bewildering variety of buttons and settings that no one ever uses.
